Hi Everyone-
With great regret, I must withdraw as organizer for the Jacksonville RonPaul2008 Meetup group.
Family events beyond my control have put severe limits on my time and schedule, making it impossible for me to do justice for such an important cause.
I have faith that out of this pool of dedicated people, someone will be able to do an excellent job of taking over.
For the sake of continuity, it would be helpful to name someone as the new Organizer right away. If anyone would like to volunteer, please let me know asap. This would allow the group to retain the structure already in place on Meetup.com, something I think is very important.
John Stevens wants to remain Co-organizer but not take over the Organizer position. He told me that because he is a registered voter in St. Johns County, he would like to start another Ron Paul Meet-up group for that county while still helping out with our Jacksonville group. He is more than willing to be the Organizer's "right-hand" man.
I am going to cancel the "Breakout Meeting" originally planned for this Monday night, July 2nd at Chilis. My suggestion would be to have the new leadership meet first to help determine a plan for the group.

I appreciate the support each of you has shown for Ron's campaign, and the patience you have shown with my reduced involvement.
I plan to remain a member of the group, and hope that in a few months, when things have settled down for me, I can become much more active.
